I installed these in my brand new 2012 F250. These things work amazingly well to light up the entire truck bed at night. Looks so good people who have seen it said "Why doesn't Ford make this an option? for the install, I bought two 7/8" plastic plugs at Lowes and drilled a small hole in the middle of each and ran the wires through them and down to the bottom of the truck bed through the existing holes at the top on each side rear by the bedrails. This allowed me to run the wires where they are hardly seen, are protected from chaffing by the plugs, and then wired them into a round switch which fit right in the round hole on the top of the box near the tailgate. I had removed the tail light and tapped into power off the tail light. This means I only have power when the tail light is on i.e parking lights, headlights, or by pressing open on my remote. Then with the separate switch I can turn them on and off in addition to that. Made no sense to me to run wires all the way to the front of the truck and install a switch in the dash for something in the back of the truck. I do not need the key in the ignition to provide power this way.I did use the provided screws to hold the lights in place as there is no way the adhesive would hold the lights for very long with heat, cold and vibration. They started falling off before I could get the screw holes drilled and screws in. I took my time and spent several hours doing this at night so I could see how the light was going to shine at various angles under the bed rail. Take your time, and I think you will be happy for a long time to come.
