This is an excellent digital scale - very easy to use, accurate, and it appears to be sturdy. The range is perfect for a weighing a variety of outdoor items - bicycles, packs, skis, boots, bags of food, etc. In our house, these sorts of devices are usually relegated to the garage, but this one is so useful and fun to use that it lives in a drawer in the hall where we can quickly get at it. Not only useful, but really fun.I should say a word or two about the design: it feels solid, and I really like the think rubber shielding. I've only had it for a few months, but the solid feeling and good protection give confidence it'll take some abuse and keep on going. At some point I might actually want to clamp it in a bike stand. Regardless, the pipe on the bottom is very convenient for holding the scale. Even when holding something relatively heavy, the scale stabilizes well. Highly recommended!
