Make sure your motorcycle has installed a docking hardware kit first 2. Place the rack side plate notches (B) onto the forward docking points (D). 3. Position the rotary latches (C) over the rear docking points. 4. Push the rear of the side plates downward and close the rotary latches by pressing the latch lever as far forward as it goes. You must hear a CLICK to verify that the rotary latch is in place. 5. To remove the detachable luggage rack, press the release button on each side. Then push the rotary latch levers back. Carefully lift the rear of the side plates up. Finally pull the side plate notches out of the forward docking points. (Warm Tips: The 4-point docking hardware kit needs separate to purchase.) The good ... fit was perfect. Price was fair. Material used is strong and solid.The bad ... the finish is not the greatest.Bottom line is, for less than 1/3 the price of a similar harley rack, you get a more solid and heavier rack with a less then perfect paint job.I use it to carry stuff. I take it off when not being used. For the little time it's on there ... it's a good buy.
